If you're drop starting a chainsaw it can cause the bar to nose down into your knee or mess up tendons in your hand or arm. Three years ago I had my pressure washer try to pull me back in to the recoil. It hurt further up my arm and it didn't go away quick, like stuff usually does.This is how it works on cable driven tachometers on tractors. So to put 2000 hours on a chainsaw it would have to run at its rated RPM for 2000 hours. I figure a chainsaws rated RPM is full throttle. Since chainsaws are not run wide open all the time it take more than 2000 hours to put 2000 hours of engine time on.Husky 550XP is a good saw but Husqvarna is having issues with supplying parts. Echo makes a good saw as well, believe the 4910 is still available but that saw really needs muffler work to realize it's full potential. The echos are hard to beat for the price. On the 352 one AV spring is actually connected directly to the motor. The 352 actually felt much stiffer and as if it's really not the same build as the cheaper 310. Based upon today's results my thinking is the cost difference between the cs 310 and cs 352 is justified.The specs of the Dolmar made Makita EA3200 is humble at 1,35kw/1,81hp and have a dry weight without bar/chain at 4,1kg/9,0lb according to Dolmar, mine came with a 14" guide bar. IMO, as a non-pro user, those pros outway the cons. Also, you can bolt a 58mm barrel making it 111cc (assuming it's a later one).
