I used to live in France and the whole ā€œbig is betterā€ is totally not how they think. Quality over quantity or size is how they/we think. Comparing rings is totally a North American thing. The engagement ring is a symbol of love and the relationship. What matters is you love each other. Itā€™s not even 1 carrot. The band is square and masculine with a line running around it that is off center. The diamond also sticks up oddly because the holder thing is just mounted on a normal ring. It hurts to take it on and off because the edges are square and almost sharp. .
